HIROSHIMA COMMEMORATION

Great Neck SANE/Peace Action and the L.I. Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives will be holding a ceremony to remember the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

DOCUMENTARY SCREENING - ABRAHAM'S CHILDREN

The Interfaith Alliance - L.I. Chapter hosted the screening of the new documentary, Abraham's Children at its June 24th meeting at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock. Click here for details.

Rev. Welton Gaddy criticized Fox News' Brit Hume for his Jan. 3rd "reporting" about Tiger Woods' recent marital infidelity. Gaddy was critical of Hume's comments that Woods' recovery "depends on his faith," as well as Hume's telling Tiger Woods (a Buddhist), "Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

TIA-LI Mourns Loss of Norma Cohen

With deepest sorrow we mourn the passing of our beloved Norma Cohen, who died on Friday, Feb. 20^th. Norma was deeply committed to the goals of Interfaith Alliance, which led her to co-found our local Long Island Chapter in 1997. She will be dearly missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her and working beside her.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to her husband Harvey and the entire Cohen family.
