The Peoples Agenda

The Long Island Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives and other Long Island groups have launched a petition campaign to gather signatures for THE PEOPLE’S AGENDA FOR 2008. The People's Agenda puts forth what Long Islanders, and citizens across the country, expect our candidates and elected officials to do to make our government more accountable and fair to all Americans and to restore our country’s credibility in the world. The number of signatures we collect will document the strong public support that exists for an end to the Iraq war, for government policies that will address poverty and global warming, and for a foreign policy based on the rule of law.
