Society hosted a conference call for religious leaders to

Torture Awareness Month: June is
Torture Awareness Month.
The National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT)
reminds us that June 26th is
United Nations International
Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
NRCAT encourages congregations and people of faith to focus on
(1) passing federal legislation granting the Red Cross access to
all detainees in U.S. custody; and (2) securing a comprehensive
investigation into the use of torture by the U.S. since 9/11/01.
